Setup - Notifications

This page is where you can set the messaging you want for each type of SMS reminder notification.

Leverage the pre-populated merge tags to personalise your message and set the correct timing for when the reminder should be sent.

The Notifications setup page can be accessed by navigating to Setup → Jobs → Notifications.

SMS Settings


You can enable each notification type by toggling on the SMS switch. You would need to set the hours for when the notification should be sent under the 'Hours before the scheduled job' field. Below are the SMS notification types you can configure on this page:

Booking reminder - Sent to remind the customer they have a job schedule.

Booking changed - Sent if a booking is changed after the booking reminder has been sent.

Job complete - A notification that will be sent to the customer once the job is completed.

Technician on the way - Techs can send an SMS to customers informing them they are en route to the job.

You can take your notifications to the next level by using the sample merge tags provided. This will allow you to personalise your reminders further. Click on the Save button at the top-right corner of the SMS settings page after you have finalised your setup.

You can apply your settings to all existing jobs, or just jobs created from that point on. Toggle each component that you want to apply for existing jobs and click on the Update active jobs button. If you do not want to apply the settings to active jobs, click on the 'Do not update active jobs' option instead.

Switching on messages for active jobs will add any valid contact mobile numbers to the jobs. You may want to check each job to ensure the right numbers have been added.
