Conducting Water Tests with Spin Touch
We support the connection with Spin Touch device through the Pooltrackr mobile application. If you need to update the OS version on your Spin machine, please contact LaMotte support support@lamottepacific.com for further assistance.
Connecting a Spin device with the Pooltrackr mobile application allows you to perform water tests directly on your Spin device and automatically push the test results to the mobile app, eliminating the need to input data manually. This streamlines the process, ensuring more efficient and accurate results.
Grant Bluetooth Access to Connect Pooltrackr Mobile App with Your Spin Device
Please make sure you have granted the Pooltrackr mobile app access to use Bluetooth. This will allow the app to connect to your Spin device.
Open the Settings app on your mobile device.
Search for the Pooltrackr app, and when you find it, tap on it.
Turn on Bluetooth access by toggling the switch next to Bluetooth.
Depending on whether you’re using iOS or Android, you may not be able to grant Bluetooth permission from your device settings.In this case, please refer to the article below for an alternative way to allow Bluetooth access.
Connect Spin device to Pooltrackr app
Open the Pooltrackr app and from the Jobs list screen, locate the job you're about to work on.
On the Job details screen, scroll to the Water test section and turn on the Include chemical test switcher.
Tap the Spin button to move to the SYNC WYTH SPIN TOUCN screen.
The first time you click the Spin button, the system will ask to search for Bluetooth devices. When this prompt appears, please make sure you grant Bluetooth permission, please click the Allow button.
Start a water test on your Spin device and then tap the SEARCH FOR NEARBY DEVICES button.
Then, tap on the device that was found.
On your Spin device, please click the Tap to Start Water test button
When the water test is finished, please tap the Send button on your Spin Touch device screen.
The test information from your Spin device will then appear on your mobile device. Please tap the Send chemical results button in the mobile app.
The test results will be pushed to your Job screen and, if needed, you’ll be able to adjust them in the Pooltrackr mobile app
