Create a Quote

Updated over 5 months ago

Quotes can be created through the mobile app if your user account has the necessary permissions. To do this, login to the mobile app and tap on the Quotes tab.

Creating a quote

1. From the quotes list screen, tap the plus icon in the top right of the screen.

2. Select the pool you want to issue the quote and if there are multiple linked contacts, the appropriate contact to send the quote to.

3. Select a job template to issue a quote for. Add, remove or edit tasks as required, and add a colour label if applicable.

4. Edit line items and tap the Add Product option to add more either by searching your inventory, scanning a barcode or creating a custom item.

5. Add any notes to carry through to the job once the quote is approved.

6. Tap on the Next button to set an action for the quote: Save as Draft if you want to come back and make further changes to the quote later or Review and Send to issue the quote to the customer straightaway.

Save as draft

If you choose to save a quote as a draft, the quote will be saved. You will be redirected back to the quotes list screen and you will see its status as Draft. You can edit it anytime by tapping on the drafted quote.

Preview and Send quote

If you choose to send the quote, tap on Review & Send. When previewing the quote, you'll see the contact details for the customer you're sending the quote and can change the contact if there are multiple contacts linked to the pool. You can also toggle the Display SKU and Display Tasks options to show the SKU and task list on the quote you will be sending.

You may also edit the intro message you would like to include when sending the quote by tapping on the pencil icon. Tap on Send once you are ready to send the quote.

Edit a quote in drafts

Opening the quote shows the status of the quote at the top of the screen either Quote sent to the contact, Approved quote or Draft quote. Scrolling down you'll see the quote details and can add any notes which will be carried through when the job is approved and scheduled. If the quote is in Draft you can add and remove tasks and products and make any adjustments to line items.

At the bottom of the Edit quote screen, you can perform actions depending on the status of the quote. From the edit quote (in drafts) screen, you can choose to save the quote as draft or review & send.
