Importing Products

  1. Go to Operations → Products → Import and download the CSV template.

  2. Fill out the import file:

  • id - This column should be sequential numbers starting at 1 if you do not have any products yet. However, if you are adding new products, you can leave it blank.

If you are updating an existing product, ensure that you indicate the existing product ID to avoid duplicates.

  • name - Product name

  • brand - Product brand

  • SKU - Product's SKU

  • price - Price

  • tax_included - Input 1 if the price indicated already includes the tax. Enter 0 if the product is exclusive of tax.

  • barcode - Product barcode, typically used for scanning

  • volume - Volume or size of the product

  • metric - The unit of measurement for the volume (e.g., ml, g, each, piece).

  • custom_field_1

  • custom_field_2

  • custom_field_3

  • custom_field_4

custom_field_1-4 is for custom fields for additional information about the product e.g. supplier code, storage conditions, expiration date.

3. Upload the file by clicking on the upload option.

You can upload a file in CSV or XLSX (Excel) formats and a maximum of 5MB per file.

4. After uploading the file, you will have the option to review and match the columns. Check each column for any errors/typos before continuing.

5. After double-checking the columns and their content, click on the Continue button at the lower right bottom.

6. Depending on the amount of data, the import process may take a few moments to complete. Once the import is complete, you will receive a prompt and will be routed to the product list after clicking Ok.
