Using and Managing Technician Colours in the Calendar & Map

Overview

Technician display colours, set from the **Setup → Team** section, are reflected throughout the Calendar and Map views. Each technician's name, avatar, and assigned jobs are shown in their designated colour, helping you quickly identify who is scheduled where and optimise your team's daily routes.


How Colours Appear in the Calendar

- Each technician listed on the left-hand side of the Calendar view is displayed using their assigned colour.

- Jobs scheduled for that technician are shown as colour-coded blocks, making it easy to visually separate workloads across your team.

- In **Map view**, technician markers and job pins on the map reflect the same assigned colours for consistent visual identification.


Reassigning a Technician's Colour from the Calendar

You can update a technician's display colour directly from the Calendar without navigating back to Setup:

1. Navigate to **Jobs → Calendar**.

2. Locate the technician in the left-hand technician list.

3. Click the **three-dot menu (⋮)** icon to the right of the technician's name.

4. Select **Edit assigned colour** from the dropdown menu.

5. Use the colour picker to select a new colour.

6. Save the change.

The updated colour will immediately reflect across the Calendar, Map, and the technician's profile in Setup → Team.


Tips for Using Colours Effectively

- Assign colours that contrast well with each other to make the Calendar easy to read at a glance.

- Use consistent colour logic — for example, grouping technicians by region or skill set using similar colour families.

- The Map view particularly benefits from distinct colours when multiple technicians are working in overlapping areas.
